Hi there! I’m Pablo Vannucci, a writer with a passion for humor and storytelling that connects with readers of all ages. My work spans a variety of genres and formats, but what ties everything together is my love for making people laugh.
Growing up, I was captivated by classic 1950s and 1960s sitcoms, especially I Love Lucy and Lucille Ball in general. At one point I read so many books about her that I compiled my own full-life biography about her. Lucille Ball is probably the one topic I know everything about. I even created a Facebook page called A Lucille Ball Tribute. As a Classic TV advocate, I haven’t forgotten about other ‘50s and ‘60s comedy legends that often get overlooked today, like Danny Thomas (and that Rusty Hamer kid on The Danny Thomas Show is hilarious), George Burns and Gracie Allen (the world needs more Gracie), Eve Arden (CBS, please give Our Miss Brooks an official full series release!), Phil Silvers, Joan Davis (CBS, ditto for I Married Joan!), and Carol Burnett, have been a huge influence on my desire to write stories that bring joy. Humor is at the heart of everything I create, and I believe we all need to laugh more—myself included!
My writing journey started when I was maybe in third grade. I remember the earliest stories I wrote were based off the board game, Candy Land. Unfortunately, those stories are lost on some floppy disc that definitely no longer exists. I’ve been writing ever since, but my first taste of the publishing industry came in 2020 when I ghostwrited on Maximum Joy (2020) by my parents, Bonnie and Rich Vannucci. Meanwhile, I’ve worked on a wide range of creative experiences. I’ve worked as a producer, writer, and director in the news industry, and helped local businesses grow through digital marketing, blog writing, and email campaigns.
Beyond writing, I’m a bit of a fitness enthusiast who enjoys staying active, reading fiction, and diving into movies—though I tend to forget movies as soon as the credits roll, so maybe don’t talk to me about movies. My favorite books are from my preteen years, like Harry Potter, Pendragon, The Edge Chronicles, and A Series of Unfortunate Events. I was the biggest Harry Potter fan in my class. I’m obviously still a fan since one of my writing projects is Scarred, a humorous retelling and parody of Harry Potter. I’ve also been writing songs for over a decade, some of which you can find on my Soundcloud page. My favorite genres are pop, hip-hop, and dance. Someone please call 2010 and tell it to bring its beats back!
I recently self-published a humorous history nonfiction series called Weird Things in History, available on Amazon. Even though self-publishing is fun and a pretty quick process, my goal is to become traditionally published with the middle grade series I’m currently working on called The Personalitiez, following a preteen tackling social media, self-confidence, and family neglect while navigating the hilarious, quirky world of The Personalitiez’s Hollywood entertainment industry in front of and behind the camera. I’m so excited to share with it with you!
